Without pretending to give an exhaustive survey of the art of Marcel Dupré, we believe that the four Opus collected here reflect, nevertheless, his multiple and happy diversity – each one representing a turning point and containing entirely different stylistic elements. In addition, we feel they should serve as evidencefor their author and against the tentatives of "burial" whose he has formed the subject, specially since hisdeath in 1971. Whatever the scope or the depht of his influence might have been, the simple fact, is that, as an acknowledged composer, virtuoso, theorist, pedagogue and administrator, he commanded the attention, over a long period of time, of a posterity now ready to turn their backs on him.
